Meet the team at Mount Vets

Meet our superb team of Vets, Nurses and Support staff at Mount Vets in Wellington

Stuart Young

BSc (Hons) BVetMed MRCVS

Stuart has a long history within the poultry and gamebird sector including lecturing at the Royal Vet College and the various Duchy colleges in Devon & Cornwall. For this he was awarded the prestigious National knowledge transfer award in the game and poultry industry in 2014. He is a founding member and Chairman of the West Country Layers Association (WCLA) and also sits on the South West chicken association (SWCA) committee.

Hannah Mouland

Hannah graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2011. She had seen practice at SYVS over the years and had a keen interest in poultry throughout her University career which is unusual in itself. She is now assistant to Stuart in the poultry department as well as helping with the large animal department when she has spare time.

Hannah originates from Barry Island in South Wales of “Gavin and Stacey” fame. She has many pets including a big cuddly Old English sheepdog called Beatrice. She is an extremely talented musician and was part of the Welsh Youth Orchestra for many years. No doubt at rugby 6 nations she will be shouting for Wales and I hope England can quieten her celebrations!

Alistair Chilcott

Al joined Mount Vets at the end of September 2020 having graduated from the Royal Veterinary College (RVC) in London in June 2019. He loves working outside and meeting lots of different people, as well as the sciency bit too! Al is a cricket and cycling fanatic, enjoying surfing and walking his dog ‘Dutch’ at home on Dartmoor. He also has a cat called Malcolm.
