For all pet prescriptions, including tick, worming and flea treatments, please ensure you allow us 24H notice before wishing to collect them (prescriptions ordered after 4pm on Thursdays will be ready from the following Monday to collect). We are trying our best to refill stock as quickly as we are dispensing it, so please be patient during this unusual time as our suppliers are not delivering as often as usual. We can post your pet’s prescription to you for a £4.50 fee (please call us to arrange – unfortunately we are unable to post food), or you can collect your pet’s prescription from our Wellington Hospital on Taunton Road:

  1. Call us to ensure your prescription is ready and pay over the phone or via our online payment link (if you know the amount) before leaving your house. Alternatively, you can pay at our payment window to the left (farm entrance side) of the hospital building upon collection.
  2. When you arrive, please park your vehicle in our car park and make your way to our payment window on the left (farm entrance side) of the hospital building. Please maintain your distance from other clients when waiting for your prescription.

Prescriptions that have expired and require a prescription check-up can be extended until January; your medication will be dispensed so long as your pet is well and the prescription has been for 6 months duration. Pets on some heart medications should be referred to a vet for a telephone prescription check up at the cost of £25.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Request repeat prescriptions online

Please allow at least 24 hours from requesting repeat medications to collecting them.

Please note that we can only supply repeat POM-V (Prescription Only Medicine – Veterinarian) medications to animals under our care that require continuous therapy and are owned by registered clients of the Practice.

Pets requiring repeat medications will need to have a repeat prescription for that medication set up on their record and will need to be re-examined at appropriate intervals to ensure that their current medication and dose is still suitable for them.

If your pet does not have a repeat prescription set up on their record, or their prescription period has expired, we will not be able to supply repeat POM-V medications without re-examining your pet.

Medications may be collected from the Wellington Hospital, Wiveliscombe or Broadhembury Branches and all medications must be paid for in full on collection.

Our staff will be pleased to inform you of the price of any medications upon request.

Please telephone the Wellington Hospital on 01823 662286 if you wish to receive your pet’s medication by post, or if you are not sure what medication your pet is on, or if you have any other queries.
