The Vets Pets

Hollins
Named after an old friend, this chocolate Labrador has been with us for over twelve years and is the old man of the office. Originally on his way to the rescue home at one year of age, he was taken on by one of the large animal team, Piers. He has had an interesting past and has visited the operating theatre many times to remove unwanted items. These include two ropes, a lollipop stick, a tennis ball and a comic relief red nose! He has fathered three separate litters of puppies, many of which can be seen around Wellington and the surrounding areas. He is mainly retired now but occasionally visits to check the office for any spare cake!

Frank
Frank is the newest addition to the office. He has had two previous owners but vet David and receptionist Katherine are now lucky enough to have him come live with them. Although small on legs, he is big on character and has already become very popular with everyone here at the Mount. He is busy exploring all the lovely walks around Wellington and has even introduced his owners to a few new places too!

Dottie
Our receptionist Marti has had Dottie for just over a year now. She was found abandoned in North Devon by the dog warden. Marti saw her and decided to give her a home. Although a little unruly at first, after attending some of Jacki Cook our behaviourists training sessions, she is now a real champion and capable of many amazing stunts and tricks.
Smidge
This little cat was found on a farm abandoned by her mother. She was very cold but once she had been brought inside, warmed up and given some food she soon livened up and has become a wonderful pet ever since. She became a Mum herself recently and we are pleased to say she kept a close eye on all her kittens, right up until they were weaned!
Scrumpy
The playboy of the Mount, Scrumpy is a bundle of energy and is celebrating recently becoming a father! He is a cross between a Labrador and a springer spaniel (also known as a Springador!). At home he has three little children that keep him on the go, so he often just comes in to the Mount for a rest!
Hazel
This beautiful golden retriever belongs to Beverley, our Stock controller. She is full of beans and is often seen running Bev around the streets! She is an extra special hero because she has been into the vets to give blood three times, when it has been required for a canine emergency. She does this without blinking an eyelid and wags her tail throughout, making her a real life saver to say the least.
Buttons and Tinkerbell
These two little girls were taken on by Vicky after their owner sadly passed away. Don’t be fooled by their size as they take no prisoners around the area where Vicky lives! So if you live in the Wellington area, make sure you are always armed with a couple of dog biscuits, which should keep you safe from this terrible twosome.
