Farm Animal work accounts for over 50% of the Practice workload, with 8 veterinary surgeons routinely involved.
We were one of the first Practices to set up routine fertility monitoring schemes in dairy herds, and this has been the core work of the Practice for over 25 years.
As well as dealing with the common medical and surgical procedures encountered in farm practice, increasingly more of our time is spent on health control programmes. investigating and advising on measures to control mastitis and lameness, as well as programmes tailored to control infectious and parasitic problems.
Much of this work now forms part of the wider health planning on farms which is often linked to farm assurance schemes.
We have vets experienced in sheep, goat and pig work, as well as dairy and beef cattle.
The Practice size and specialist expertise within the team enables us to meet the needs of a rapidly changing industry and help our farming clients maximise the health and productivity of their enterprises.
